TNT U13 lose Cup Final but win Plate at Feb Futsal Tournament

Quarry TNT U13s dominated the most recent Futsal Tournament, with both teams enjoying success. Despite a lot of strong players being away, we were one of three clubs able to field two teams.

TNT A finished third in a strong group after 5 games, so went into the plate. They played some great futsal from then on, to beat Summertown Cobras in the semi, and Oxford City in a tight final.

TNT B finished second on goal difference. They played winners of Group P, Highmoor Ibis B in the semi final, and swept them aside, scoring 4 goals in the first half, and winning 5-2. The final was a fantastic display of futsal from both teams, ending 2-2. In extra time both teams gave everything, before a deflected strike found the Quarry net. (If you look carefully you can just see the disappointment on the faces of players in the photo).

The coaches were proud of the way both teams played and represented Quarry, and grateful to Quarry Blast for lending us a great player at short notice.
