Strong players needed to play U13 football for 2018/19 Season

As Quarry Thunder move to 11-a-side football in 2018/19 season there is a rare opportunity for 2 or 3 players to join the squad as we increase to 14 or 15 players. Your son will have been born between 1/9/2005 and 31/8/2006.

Thunder are top of the Oxford Mail U12 B League at time of writing, so will be playing either A or B league football in 18/19. Consequently new players will be equipped to play at a good level. They are likely to be in an A or B league team at present, or be the stand out player in a lower league team. Players with exceptional pace will also be considered, as Quarry Thunder has two FA Level 2 qualified coaches, giving players a level of technical coaching support that enables them to develop quickly. Real willingness to learn and improve is an essential attribute for all Quarry Thunder players.

Also essential is contributing to team spirit, by helping maintain an environment where all players are allowed to make honest mistakes whilst giving their best effort. Our aim is for the boys to have a lot of fun together, win or lose with dignity, form friendships for life, and compete to win trophies, by keeping and developing the players in our squad, not just recruiting stronger ones!
